Our Veterinarians
Dr Carl Muller
Dr Carl Muller

Dr Carl Muller graduated from the University of Melbourne with honors in 1968 and has been a general practitioner continually since that time. He started in mixed practice in Bendigo then Benalla. In 1971, he returned to Melbourne and worked for 8 months at the Lort Smith hospital in small animals.

In 1972-73 he worked in many practices in Britain as a locum in both mixed and small animal practices. Upon returning to Australia, he purchased an old run- down boarding house in Malvern Road which was extensively renovated and opened as Prahran Veterinary Hospital. In the early 1980's he gained a diploma in (human) acupuncture, and also a diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine and subsequently passed his IVAS (International Veterinary Acupuncture Society) examination. Dr Muller now teaches other veterinarians both locally in overseas to a standard to pass IVAS examinations. Dr Muller is completed a two year long course in small animal chiropractics last year.

Dr Peter Juliff
Dr Peter Juliff

Dr Peter Juliff was born and educated in Melbourne. He graduated from the University of Melbourne with first class honours. After working for a few years in mixed practice at Dromana and Mornington he traveled extensively during which he worked for a year in the United Kingdom. He has been at Prahran Veterinary Hospital since 1990 and became a partner of the hospital in 1993.

In 1991 he successfully completed he Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists by examination in Small Animal Medicine. He has recently completed a 1 year distance education course in Small Animal Radiology and Small Animal Ultrasonography. His spare time is fully occupied with his two children, bush walking and guitar playing.

Dr Nicole Hoskin
Dr Nicole Hoskin
Dr Nicole Hoskin graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1994 and began practice in a combined large and small animal practice in Greensborough. and worked there until the end of 1997 before spending 12 months in Singapore working as a small animal veterinarian.

In 1996 she undertook the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society accreditation course in Veterinary Acupuncture. She has worked as a volunteer at Healesville Sanctuary as well as at a wildlife shelter in Eltham, providing medical care to injured and sick wildlife.

Dr Hoskin joined the Prahran Toorak Hospital team in January of 1999 and became a partner of the hospital in 2004.

Dr Hoskin has a special interest in ultrasound, acupuncture and holistic medicines.

Dr Jennie Heslop
Dr Nicole Hoskin

Dr Jennie Heslop joined Prahran Veterinary Hospital after graduating from the University of Melbourne. She spent a lot of time at our Hospital an undergraduate and we are very lucky to have her working with us. She brings the most up to date knowledge with her. Since starting with us 5 years ago Jennie has attended many continuing Veterinary Education programs and is helping us maintain our high standards of Veterinary Care.

Jennie took extended leave in 2006 to travel extensively and work in Europe. 2008 saw her complete her 1 year distance education course in Feline Medicine.

Dr Kay Wallace
Dr Kay Wallace

Dr Kay Wallace was born and educated in Tasmania before moving to Melbourne to study Veterinary Science. She worked in a mixed and dairy practices in rural Queensland and Victoria before traveling extensively overseas. She worked for a year in England during her travels. She has recently completed full year distance education programs from the Post Graduate Foundation in Veterinary Science in both Small Animal Radiology and Small Animal Ultrasound. Dr Wallace has been with Prahran Veterinary Hospital for more than 10 years.

 

Dr Adi Frisch
Dr Adi Frisch

Dr Adi Frisch was born and raised in Israel. She completed a Bachelor of Animal Science in 2001 from the Hebrew University, before arriving in Australia to undertake a Veterinary Science Degree. Adi graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2005. Dr Adi Frisch joined us at the start of 2006 and has rapidly become an indispensable member of our team. Adi has a special interest in small animal medicine and nutrition. This is rounded out by her abilities in surgery.

Adi has recentely returned from maternity leave.

Dr David Hall
Dr David Hall graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1999 and started working in a mixed animal practice in central Victoria. The lure of travel became too strong and after a year he left for the UK where he worked in mixed and small animal practices for several years. On returning to Melbourne David worked in Pascoe Vale, Sandown and St Kilda as a small animal clinician. He then returned to a small animal practice in Kent, England, where he has been for the last three and a half years. David joined the Prahran Veterinary Hospital in 2008.
David has a special interest in orthopaedic surgery, and in 2007 he completed a distance education course in small animal surgery through The University of Sydney.
