Dr Peter Juliff
Dr Peter Juliff

Dr Peter Juliff was born and educated in Melbourne. He graduated from the University of Melbourne with first class honours. After working for a few years in mixed practice at Dromana and Mornington he traveled extensively during which he worked for a year in the United Kingdom. He has been at Prahran Veterinary Hospital since 1990 and became a partner of the hospital in 1993.

In 1991 he successfully completed he Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists by examination in Small Animal Medicine. He has recently completed a 1 year distance education course in Small Animal Radiology and Small Animal Ultrasonography. His spare time is fully occupied with his two children, bush walking and guitar playing.

2010 saw Dr Juliff completing the University of Sydney distance education course in ophthalmology. Dr Juliff's commitment to further education grants him chartered member status of the Australian Veterinary Association.

Dr Nicole Hoskin
Nicole
Dr Nicole Hoskin graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1994 and began practice in a combined large and small animal practice in Greensborough and worked there until the end of 1997 before spending 12 months in Singapore working as a small animal veterinarian.

In 1996 she undertook the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society accreditation course in Veterinary Acupuncture. She has worked as a volunteer at Healesville Sanctuary as well as at a wildlife shelter in Eltham, providing medical care to injured and sick wildlife.

Dr Hoskin joined the Prahran Toorak Hospital team in January of 1999 and became a partner of the hospital in 2004.

Dr Hoskin has a special interest in ultrasound, acupuncture and holistic medicines.

2011 sees Dr Hoskin studying the University of Sydney distance education course in internal medicine.

Dr Kay Wallace
Dr Kay Wallace

Dr Kay Wallace was born and educated in Tasmania before moving to Melbourne to study Veterinary Science. She worked in a mixed and dairy practices in rural Queensland and Victoria before traveling extensively overseas. She worked for a year in England during her travels. She has recently completed full year distance education programs from the Post Graduate Foundation in Veterinary Science in both Small Animal Radiology and Small Animal Ultrasound. Dr Wallace has been with Prahran Veterinary Hospital for more than 10 years.

2011 sees Dr Wallace studying the University of Sydney distance education course in Dermatology.

Dr Carl Muller
Dr Carl Muller

Dr Carl Muller graduated from the University of Melbourne with honors in 1968 and has been a general practitioner continually since that time. He started in mixed practice in Bendigo then Benalla. In 1971, he returned to Melbourne and worked for 8 months at the Lort Smith hospital in small animals.

In 1972-73 he worked in many practices in Britain as a locum in both mixed and small animal practices. Upon returning to Australia, he purchased an old run- down boarding house in Malvern Road which was extensively renovated and opened as Prahran Veterinary Hospital. In the early 1980's he gained a diploma in (human) acupuncture, and also a diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine and subsequently passed his IVAS (International Veterinary Acupuncture Society) examination. Dr Muller now teaches other veterinarians both locally in overseas to a standard to pass IVAS examinations. Dr Muller has just completed a two year long course in small animal chiropractics.

Dr Jennie Heslop
Jennie

Dr Jennie Heslop joined Prahran Veterinary Hospital after graduating from the University of Melbourne. She spent a lot of time at our Hospital an undergraduate and we are very lucky to have her working with us. She brings the most up to date knowledge with her. Since starting with us 5 years ago Jennie has attended many continuing Veterinary Education programs and is helping us maintain our high standards of Veterinary Care.

Jennie took extended leave in 2006 to travel extensively and work in Europe. 2008 saw her complete her 1 year distance education course in Feline Medicine.

in 2010 Jennie passed her examinations in feline medicine and is now a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in feline medicine.

Jennie is currently on maternity leave.

Dr Diana Barker

Dr Diana Barker grew up just around the corner from the Practice, in a house that was always full of dogs and cats. She studied veterinary science at the University of Sydney, graduating in 2002. After several years working in practices in Whittlesea and on the Mornington Peninsula Diana went on a five year world trip, the highlights included: operating on monkeys in the Ecuadorean Amazon, supervising a dog and cat neutering program in the Greek Islands, and a long and enjoyable stint in small animal practice in Sussex, England.

Outside work Diana is also a qualified ski instructor and would love to hear about the exotic or not-so-exotic places you've been to ski!

Diana is a skilled surgeon and is undertaking further study in the field of surgery this year. She is also the proud owner of two gorgeous burmese kittens, who keep her well entertained in the evenings after work!

Dr Caitlin Tzounos
Dr Tzounos

Caitlin grew up in the Yarra Valley surrounded by a menagerie including dogs, guinea pigs, cats and horses. A career as a vet was therefore natural and something she has wanted to do since she was 8 years old.

Caitlin graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009. Spent a year working in mixed practice in Gippsland, before deciding that small animals is where she wanted to focus. Caitlin has a keen interest in small animal internal medicine, in particular Anaesthesia & Analgesia, and Neurology. She would like to specialise eventually, but hopes to one day also spend time working for Vets Beyond Borders.

Outside of work, keen musical interest and plays alto saxophone. Also very active: runs and cycles regularly.

Dr Claire Connoly
Dr Claire
Dr Claire Connoly graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004 She spent her first year and half working in Tamworth NSW. Here she got experienced country practice and the Tamworth country music festival! The Tamworth practice has a very special interest in smal animal anaesthesiology and this has let Claire help us stay at the forefront of anaesthesiology. Upon returning home to Melbourne she spent time at the Animal Emergency Centre, Wandin Vet Clinic in the Yarra Valley and locuming in inner Melbourne. Claire was a full time locum at PVH in early 2008 while Adi Frisch was on maternity leave. We loved having her around so much we begged her to continue with us. She still does regular weekend consulting for us despite the demands of another full time job. Claire is currently studying for Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Pharmacology.
